Introduction: A Broken Promise
The United Nations was established as a beacon of hope, promising peace, justice, and equal rights for all. Today, it stands increasingly co-opted by ideological interests — most notably, by regimes advancing Islamic extremism. While Christian-majority nations foot the bill, the UN platform is used to excuse terrorism, suppress free speech, and turn a blind eye to Christian persecution worldwide.
1. Who Pays the Bills?
Christian-majority and democratic nations provide the overwhelming bulk of UN funding:
- The United States: 22% of the regular budget, over 25% of peacekeeping, and billions more in voluntary funds.
- European Allies: Germany, UK, France, and others contribute heavily.
- Japan and South Korea: Major democratic contributors.
By contrast, Muslim-majority nations, many of them wealthy due to oil, contribute disproportionately less — even as they exert heavy ideological influence within the organization.
2. Gaza: The UN’s Collaboration With Hamas
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has become notorious for supporting Hamas. Investigations revealed:
- UNRWA facilities have stored Hamas weapons.
- UN employees have incited violence or participated in kidnappings.
- UNRWA schools promote anti-Semitic and anti-Christian ideologies.
Yet, these programs are funded by Western taxpayers, often from countries where churches are burned by Islamist mobs, not built.
3. Human Rights Hypocrisy: Silent on Christian Persecution
The UN boasts of promoting “human rights,” but avoids confronting Islamic nations on:
- Apostasy laws: In Saudi Arabia, Iran, and others, leaving Islam is punishable by death.
- Church demolitions: In Algeria, Egypt, and Indonesia, churches are regularly closed or bulldozed.
- Mob violence: Christians are beaten or killed in countries like Pakistan and Nigeria under false blasphemy claims.
The UN Human Rights Council regularly condemns Western nations but is eerily quiet about real, systemic abuse in Islamic societies.
4. Ideological Capture by the OIC
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a bloc of 57 Muslim countries, has hijacked many UN discussions. It promotes:
- Blasphemy laws disguised as “anti-Islamophobia” resolutions.
- Censorship of Christian evangelism, critique of Sharia, or advocacy for ex-Muslims.
- Political pressure to punish nations that restrict Islamist propaganda.
In 2022, the UN passed a resolution to combat “Islamophobia” — yet refused to even acknowledge Christian persecution as a global crisis.
5. Time for Accountability
This is not sustainable. Christian-majority nations are:
- Paying the bills for an organization that condemns their values.
- Funding silence on the suffering of their Christian brothers and sisters.
- Enabling platforms for states like Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey to rewrite global norms.
If the UN cannot speak for all victims — including Christians — then perhaps it is time for Christian nations to rethink their generosity.
Conclusion: Reform or Withdrawal
The UN must be reformed — or bypassed. The West must demand:
- Equal scrutiny for all nations, including Islamic ones.
- Protection for all faiths — not just Islam.
- An end to UN complicity with terror-supporting regimes.
Until then, Christian countries must consider using their funding as leverage — not a blank cheque.
